Turning Ideas into Cloud Solutions. π
Hi π, I'm Jorge! While I work as an Full Stack Engineer at Rundown Studio, my passion lies in the community and empowering others. I serve as the President of GPUL, an open-source foundation affiliated with the University of A CoruΓ±a. Based in Galicia, Spain, a large part of my life involves sharing knowledge through workshops, presentations, and hands-on sessions on various topics.
Helping John Barker and Lukas Hermann with their bootstrapped product for live productions.
Key contributions:
GPUL, a university association born in 1998, dedicated to the pursuit and promotion of open source software.
Key contributions:
Contributing to the future of travel, leveraging modern technologies to build and maintain resilient systems.
Key achievements:
As an πͺπΊ Erasmus+ intern at BD Electronics, my role was integral to ensuring seamless operations for the different departments of the company.
Key responsibilities:
A digital companion to a printed book on Galician mills culture and the generations shaped by the mills of the Pexegueiro River. The web platform enhances the reader's experience with interactive maps, exclusive interviews, and high-resolution imagery. QR codes in the book link to the digital content. Built with Astro for a static yet highly dynamic experience, styled with Tailwind CSS.
Developed a web app for managing participant check-ins, meal tracking, and event logistics at HackUDC. The system streamlines event operations using QR code-based verification. Built with Next.js and Supabase, ensuring real-time updates.
For a university subject, I undertook the challenge of completing all labs solely using Terraform and Ansible instead of manual AWS console and terminal operations. This repository serves as a demonstration of my expertise in both technologies, showcasing the ability to provision and manage cloud resources through infrastructure-as-code practices.
A handy bot I developed that sends real-time Telegram messages for price changes in selected cryptocurrencies at defined intervals.
Developed a full-stack web and native Android application with a Node.js backend and Angular frontend. This application, designed to monitor the journey of bread and other bakery products, utilizes QR codes for scanning and provides real-time updates on the product's location and status.
